About
Hi,
My name is Neal Babcock.
In 1996, I was programming a Texas Instruments PLC that was being used to control a paint booth. I looked up from the monitor to see 3 electricians looking over my shoulder.
I had been working with them for a couple of weeks, so it didn’t bother me, but I did ask them what they were doing.
They simply said that they wanted to see what I was doing.
Being the gratuitous soul that I am, I took a few minutes to explain the basics of PLCs, ladder logic and so on.
We ran out of time that day, but their questions inspired me to write “The Beginner’s Guide to PLC Programming”.
People seemed to really appreciate the book, so I decided to expand my repertoire and write a few more. That is how this whole thing got going.
